Polymer Interfaces, Patchy and Janus Particles, (Bio)Functional Materials
Our mission is to transfer fundamental knowledge about design principles and properties of polymer interfaces into (bio) technological and sustainable material applications in order to develop tailor-made functional materials.
Specifically, we are interested in:
- Functional Polymers and Polymer Interfaces, Patchy and Janus Particles
Development and design of new functional polymer interfaces and hybrid particles as building blocks with tailored architectures and properties. - Interfacial Phenomena und Fabrication of Functional Materials
Control and characterization of molecular interactions at interfaces and translation of fundamental knowledge for process development for the fabrication of coatings. - Functional Materials for Biotechnology
Integration of developed functional materials for bio-catalysis and electrochemical bio-sensors. - Functional Materials for Biomedicine
Development of multicomponent and multifunctional adhesive materials, which are sticky on demand to a variety of biologically relevant wet surfaces.
