The main research focus in Peter Strohriegls group is on the synthesis of conjugated organic materials, both polymers and low molar mass compounds and their application in OLEDs, organic field effect transistors (OFETs) and organic solar cells (OSCs).
These materials include:
- Conjugated polymers like poly(phenylenevinylene)s (PPVs), polyfluorenes and polycarbazoles and low bandgap polymers.
- Photocrosslinkable conjugated polymers and reactive mesogenes.
- Low molar mass materials made from oxadiazole, phenylquinoxaline, fluorene, carbazole and triazine building blocks.
